"If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track, which has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living." - Joseph Campbell

I was cleaning the house and stumbled across a note dated February 17, 2013. I titled it "aprettybox" and listed out what my dream creative job would be and what I would be doing if money was not an issue.  Unknowingly, this marked the beginning of "aprettybox" soon to be launched about a year later. For fun, here are some of the items I listed if money was not an issue:

- creating and designing
- photographing + creating memories (event planning)
- cooking + relaxing
- writing + sharing + making gifts
- researching + learning new things + taking classes
- walking the girls to school + eating lunch with them + making things
- doing things during the week + taking care of the house

Funny thing, when I made this list a year ago both my husband and I had decent income from our corporate jobs but we lacked time and flexibility. Today, I live modestly but have freedom, more time with my family, and a new appreciation for Mondays.

What would your list look like if you could daydream about your work day? Write it down and be careful what you wish for because it may come true. =)

With gratitude,
Samantha
