Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. I can't wait to sit down and spend quality time with family to reflect on our blessings. We have a small family, so most years we each pick a holiday to host between my sis-in-law, cousin, and our house. This year, I am hosting Thanksgiving! Naturally, it is one of my favorite holidays of the year because gratitude is celebrated.

I love natural elements and bringing serenity and style to an event, so my muse for the day is rosemary. It is an aromatic herb that has a refreshing woody smell similar to pine and it has a simple and natural beauty about it. You can use it on place cards, menu, or even bake a cake (anyone in the family want to volunteer to bake?)! Also, free printable art is a quick decor item that can add a meaningful touch to an event.  Key takeaway in making an event special is a willingness to try something new. It is in your effort, time, and thoughtfulness that gives every detail its special meaning. Enjoy the process and day!

‘I plant rosemary all over the garden, so pleasant is it to know that at every few steps one may draw the kindly branchlets through one’s hand, and have the enjoyment of their incomparable incense; and I grow it against walls, so that the sun may draw out its inexhaustible sweetness to greet me as I pass ….’-  Gertrude Jekyll
